What Is Elrod.com? 

Elrod.com is a place for Elrod's to share information about their family members and businesses. Viewing the site is FREE for all visitors.  Members receive a personalized elrod.com email address plus they can use all of the sites other features.  

Who's Eligible To Become A Member?

All individuals with the last name, maiden name, or whose mother's maiden name is Elrod are eligible to become members. For the purposes of this website, we define an Elrod to be any decsendent of Johan Teter Elrod.  Most citizens of the United States with the last name of Elrod are direct decsendents of him.

What Features Are Available To Members?

Elrod.com members recieve one personalized Elrod.com email address and access to the following features:

1. Nominate Elrod Hall of Fame Candidates* - The Hall of Fame pages contain pictures and text describing famous Elrod’s.  Elrod’s that are eligible for inclusion into the Hall of Fame are Artist, Politicians, Actors / Actresses, Military Men & Women, Athletes, Public Servants, Teachers, Authors, Clergy,  Business Men and Women, and other famous decendants of Johan Teter Elrod. Famous Elrod places or things can also be nominated. Any Elrod.com member can nomiate an Elrod to become a member of the Hall of Fame.  All nominees will be presented to the sites membership.  Each site member has one vote.  All members will be polled to vote for or against including the nominee in the Hall of Fame.  A simple majority either way will determine the nominees acceptance or rejection.  All members will be notified of the voting results by a Blog post.   

2. Add an Elrod Memorial* – The Memorial pages contain pictures and text memorializing Elrod loved ones.  Any deceased Elrod is eligible for a memorial page and will be displayed. Any Elrod.com member can submit memorials, if approved for display the page will be displayed.

3. Add an Elrod Story* - The Stories pages contain pictures and text describing interesting moments in history about Elrod’s and their families. Any Elrod.com member can submit stories, if approved for display the page will be displayed.

4. Add an Elrod Business* – For a small optional fee, Elrod owned businesses can advertise their businesses on the website. Any Elrod.com member can submit business advertisements, if approved for display the page will be displayed. 

5. Add a Blog Post* - The Elrod Blog pages contain posts submitted by Elrod's for the benefit of all Elrod members and site visitors. Any Elrod.com member can submit blog posts, if approved for display the page will be included in the Elrod.com blog.

6. Add an Elrod Recipe* – The Recipe pages contain Elrod family recipes. Any Elrod.com member can submit recipes, if approved for display the page will be displayed.

*Note:  All material submitted for display on Elrod.com will be reviewed and must be approved by the web master.  No submitted material will be displayed if it contains offensive language or images.  Please read our Terms & Conditions Agreement for the complete details.
